Brenda Chavez, M.Ed has a diverse work experience. Brenda currently serves as the Director of Young Adult Ministry & Neighborhood Engagement at Old St. Patrick's Church. Prior to this, they worked as a Lead Planner at The Simply Elegant Group. Brenda also worked at DePaul University as a Study Abroad Program Manager and as an Assistant Director and Admission Counselor. Brenda has experience in teaching and cross-cultural communication as an English Teaching Assistant at COMEXUS Fulbright-García Robles and as a Co-Coordinator for the Peace Hub Youth Council at UCAN (Chicago). Brenda has also worked as a Young Adult Ministry Coordinator at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish and as a Counselor/Mentor at Chicago Public Schools. Additionally, they were an American Youth Ambassador for the U.S. Department of State. Brenda's experience encompasses various roles in ministry, event planning, education, counseling, and youth engagement.

Brenda Chavez, M.Ed, has a strong educational background with a focus on leadership and psychology. Brenda pursued their Master of Education (M.Ed) degree in Educational Leadership from DePaul University, graduating in 2020. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology and Latin American and Latino Studies from the same institution in 2016.

In addition to their degrees, Brenda also obtained a prestigious certification. In May 2020, they were awarded the 2019-2020 Fulbright Scholarship - Finalist Badge by the Fulbright Association. This certification signifies their recognition as a finalist for the Fulbright Scholarship, highlighting their exceptional skills and achievements in the education field.
