Quaniqua Polk, LRT, CTRS, has a strong background in recreational therapy, currently serving as a Recreation Therapist and Patient Safety Attendant at Novant Health since March 2019. Quaniqua assesses patients and creates psychosocial educational groups and interventions for diverse age groups at Old Vineyard Behavioral Health Services. Experience also includes an internship at Thomasville Medical Center Geriatric Behavioral Health Unit, where skills in patient assessment and documentation were developed. Prior roles include Teacher Assistant and Summer Camp Counselor at the YMCA, focusing on tutoring and organized activities for children. Quaniqua holds a Bachelor of Science in Therapeutic Recreation from Winston-Salem State University and is pursuing a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy at the same institution, with an expected graduation in December 2024.

Located on a beautiful park-like campus in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Old Vineyard Behavioral Health is a private hospital dedicated to helping patients with their mental health needs. Old Vineyard provides inpatient programs for individuals in crisis with programs for adolescents, adults, and seniors as well as specialty inpatient programs for Dual Diagnosis, Trauma Recovery, and Mood Disorders. Outpatient programs include day programs (both full and half-day) with a mental health or a dual diagnosis focus. Our facility offers a caring and comfortable environment for our patients, families, staff, and visitors.
