Dmitry Popov

Dmitry Popov is a Senior Commodity Analyst at Oldendorff Carriers GmbH & Co. KG, specializing in thermal coal market fundamentals and energy markets since August 2023. Previously, Dmitry served as the lead analyst for the thermal coal market at CRU from January 2013 to August 2023, responsible for comprehensive forecasts of supply, demand, prices, and costs, while overseeing a team of analysts. Prior roles included analyzing manganese ore and ferroalloys, as well as contributing to steel market analysis as an editor for quarterly outlook reports. Dmitry began a career in finance through a Trading Training Programme at Amplify Trading in 2012, honing skills in various financial markets. Dmitry holds a BEng in Engineering with Business Finance from UCL and an MSc in Corporate Finance from BPP Business School.
