Vijay Fernandez

Vijay Fernandez is a seasoned maritime professional with extensive experience in port operations and management. Currently serving as Port Captain at Oldendorff Carriers GmbH & Co. KG since April 2014, Vijay specializes in coordinating bulk cargo operations across various ports and terminals from East of Suez to the West Coast of the Americas, including Australia and Oceania. Previous roles include Operations Manager at The Great Eastern Shipping Co. Ltd and Port Captain positions at both Oldendorff Carriers and SE Shipping Lines Pte Ltd, alongside experience as a Vessel Operator. Vijay began a long maritime career as Captain at Dockendale Shipping Company Limited and holds a Higher National Diploma in Nautical Science from Glasgow College of Nautical Science, complemented by a secondary and higher secondary education from Loyola High School & Junior College in Pune, India.
