James Franks has extensive work experience in the hospitality industry. James started their career as a Director of Finance and Accounting at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention Center in 2002. James then worked as a Controller at various companies such as Aramark - School Support Services, Gemstone Hotels and Resorts, and Hotel ZaZa Houston. In 2008, they joined Sage Hospitality Resources as a Controller before transitioning to the role of Hotel Manager at Hilton College Station, TX in 2011. James later became the General Manager at Hilton College Station and then moved on to be the Vice President of Operations at Encore Enterprises. Currently, they are working as the Vice President of Accounting/Controller at Oldham Goodwin Group, LLC.

James Franks earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Finance from the College of Business at California State University-Long Beach from 1989 to 1994.
