Jim Zhang

Jim Zhang, Ph.D., serves as Vice President of Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls at Olema Oncology, bringing more than 25 years of CMC expertise and broad experience spanning analytical development, product development, manufacturing process development, and quality control. Prior to joining Olema in September 2021, Dr. Zhang served in a number of CMC leadership positions of increasing responsibility at global biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies including Zogenix, Menlo Therapeutics, Pfizer, Gilead, Infinity Pharmaceuticals, Affymax, Inc., and AstraZeneca. Dr. Zhang has extensive experience in CMC regulatory, cGMP regulatory compliance, and CMC development of small and large molecules spanning from drug discovery to commercial stage. Dr. Zhang earned an M.S. from Peking University and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of California, San Francisco in the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry.
