Ellen Carmeliet

Ellen Carmeliet has extensive experience in legal counsel and compliance, having served various roles in prominent companies. At Vandemoortele, Ellen held the position of Group Legal Counsel from September 2017 to August 2021 and later worked as Secretary General & General Legal Counsel at Ter Beke. Prior roles include Legal Counsel at BASF and engagement with the BASF Antwerpen Works Council as a Representative of Executives. Ellen also contributed to governance and compliance through positions at the Pensioenfonds Vandemoortele OFP and Pensionfund BASF Executives OFP. Academically, Ellen achieved a Master of Laws from the University of Ghent and a Master after Master in Business Law, both graduating magna cum laude. Additional qualifications include various leadership and communication trainings and certification in data protection. Currently, Ellen serves as Legal Counsel at Oleon.
