OLFA has been manufacturing tools in Japan for over 70 years and is known today for creating some of the world's safest and most effective cutting tools. OLFA creates products for construction industry professionals, sign creators, installers, crafters, and any other industry where cutting safely is critical.

OLFA's story began in 1956, when its founder, Yoshio Okada, revolutionised the way people cut by inventing a blade you could snap off in segments, like a chocolate bar, which would ensure that you always had a sharp edge to hand. The length and angle of the invented blade have become the global standard for snap-off blades, and OLFA is proud that this type of tool is one of the most popular hand tools of the 21st century.

Since 1956, OLFA has been continuously evolving and innovating to hold its place as an industry pioneer. An example is its Excel Black blade of unrivalled sharpness and the new Speed Blade, coated with fluorine to reduce friction for safer and faster cutting.

OLFA's portfolio now extends to scrapers, cutting mats and other desktop accessories, all made to the same meticulous standards.
