Sam Canino

Sam Canino has held various roles in the past 6 years. In 2021, they began working as a Content Contributor for Oliver Charles. From 2019 to 2021, they worked as a Captain for Elevation Surf Charters, where they led boutique boat tours out of North Lake Tahoe and provided experienced instruction and lessons to all levels of Wake Surfing. From 2018 to 2019, they held two roles at Streak, first as an Account Executive, where they gave demos, followed up, and closed new business, and second as a Sales Development, where they utilized omni-channel outreach methods to build a pipe of outbound business. From 2018 to 2019, they also worked as a Captain/Instructor for High Sierra Water Ski School, where they created and facilitated unforgettable experiences on Lake Tahoe and instructed waterski, wakeboard, and wake surf lessons and drove scenic charters. From 2015 to 2018, they worked as a Server for Garwoods Restaurant, where they regularly exceeded sales targets set by management and honed customer service skills. Additionally, from 2015 to 2018, they served on the Board of Associated Students, Inc.-Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where they ran and was elected by the students of the College of Liberal Arts to represent their interests and was part of the Advocacy Committee.

Sam Canino obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Political Science with a focus on Politics and the Market and a Minor in Media Arts and Technologies from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo in 2016. In 2021, they obtained a Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certification from TEFL Online Pro. In 2020, they obtained a Certificate in Social Impact Storytelling from Georgetown University, focusing on Social Impact Communication. In 2018, they obtained a Master 25GRT Merchant Mariner certification from the US Coast Guard.
