Debasis Patra

Debasis Patra has extensive work experience in the CMC field. Debasis is currently the Vice President and Head of CMC at OliX Pharmaceuticals, Inc. since October 2021. Prior to this role, they served as Senior Director of CMC at the same company starting from May 2020.

Before joining OliX Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Patra worked at Amgen from January 2016 to April 2020. During this time, they held the position of CMC Integration & External Process Development Manager from January 2019 to April 2020, and External Process Development Manager from January 2016 to December 2018.

Prior to Amgen, Patra worked at AMRI from May 2000 to December 2015. During their time at AMRI, they served as the Manager of Global kilolab Operations from May 2008 to December 2015. Debasis also held the position of Senior Research Scientist I - III from September 2000 to May 2008.

Debasis Patra completed their Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Organic Chemistry from Calcutta University in Kolkata from 1985 to 1990. Debasis then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Synthetic Organic Chemistry from the Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science from 1990 to 1995. After that, they worked as a Visiting Researcher in Pharmaceutical Science for a year (1996-1997). Subsequently, they obtained a PostDoc degree in Organic Chemistry from an unspecified institution from 1997 to 2000. Later, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Business Administration from an unspecified institution from 2003 to 2005.
