Karl Olmsted began their career in 1983 as a Junior Graphic Designer at WFUM TV28. Karl then moved to Dallas C. Dort & Company in the same year, taking on the role of Junior Creative Director. In 1984, they became the Creative Services Manager at the University of Michigan-Flint. Finally, in 1986, they joined Olmsted Associates, Inc. as the Chief Creative Thinker, where they have worked for over 35 years providing creative thinking for communications such as interactive, annual reports, strategic communications planning, direct mail, publications, graphic design and the development of integrated radio, television and video campaigns.
Karl Olmsted has attended the College for Creative Studies twice and the University of Michigan-Flint, where they studied Advertising and Business Administration.
