James Hoffmann

James Hoffmann, DO, is president of Olmsted Medical Center in Rochester, Minnesota. He began his term as president on July 1, 2019, and is also a practicing obstetrics and gynecology physician at OMC.

Dr. Hoffmann joined OMC in 1994 after completing medical school at the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in Des Moines, IA, and his residency in Ob/Gyn medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Chicago. He was instrumental in the establishment of the OMC Women’s Health Pavilion which embraces a multidisciplinary approach of healthcare delivery to our patients. Dr. Hoffmann is committed to expanding OMC’s surgical services along with expanded urgent/emergent and primary care delivery.

When Dr. Hoffmann isn’t caring for Ob/Gyn patients or working in his administrative roles, he enjoys bicycling, amateur photography, hiking, and being the father of three grown children. Dr. Hoffmann is actively involved in adventure motorcycling, touring and experiencing the scenery, and soaking up the culture of many different countries on two wheels.
