Peter Ellenstein

Peter Ellenstein is a seasoned theatre director with extensive experience in leading theatrical productions. Currently serving as the Director at Olney Theatre Center since September 2024, Peter is directing “Eisenhower: This Piece of Ground.” Previous roles include directing at notable institutions such as Hudson Theatre and Theatre at St. Clements, where Peter also directed productions of “Eisenhower: This Piece of Ground.” Additionally, Peter has held consulting positions with the Dramatists Guild of America, focusing on programmatic planning and new play development. With a Master of Fine Arts in Theatre/Directing from Minnesota State University, Mankato, and a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Thomas Edison State University, Peter's background combines academic and practical expertise in the performing arts.
