Dan Hawk has extensive work experience in accounting and finance. Dan started their career in 1994 as a Tax Accountant at Sterling Jewelers. In 1996, they joined Olympic Steel where they held various roles, including Tax Accountant, Accounting Manager of Joint Ventures, and Controller. In 2006, they briefly served as a Purchasing Manager, where they implemented processes to improve inventory control. From 2007 to 2017, they were the Controller of Olympic Steel's operations in Cleveland, Gary Indiana, and Mt. Sterling KY. Currently, they are serving as the Director of Accounting, reporting directly to the CFO and leading the divisional accounting personnel to maximize profitability.
Dan Hawk pursued their education at Kent State University from 1989 to 1993, earning a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Dan later attended Ohio University between 2014 and 2016, obtaining a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Executive Management.
