George Himler

George Himler has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. George began their career as an Operations Coordinator at Camelot Music in 1989 and later moved on to become a Shipping Manager at Hugo Boss, where they managed a staff of 18 union employees. After that, they worked as a Shift Supervisor at Giant Eagle, where they were responsible for overseeing the operations of a distribution center and managing a team of hi-lift operators and loaders. Following this, they served as an Assistant DC Manager at Arrow Electronics, where they maintained a high DC fill rate and provided evaluations and opportunities for improvement to their team. George then transitioned to Transtar Industries, where they served as a Warehouse Manager and implemented productivity boards and KPIs to improve performance and reduce overtime. George continued their career at Arrow Electronics as a Manager of Logistics/Value-add Operations, where they emphasized daily Operational Excellence and implemented 5s, Kaizen, and Lean Management practices. Most recently, they have been working at GNC as a Regional Sales Director, overseeing sales operations in the region. In 2018, they joined Olympic Steel as an Operations Manager.

George Himler attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania from 1985 to 1989, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance.
