Etienne Jornod

Etienne Jornod is a prominent leader in the pharmaceutical and media industries, currently serving as the Executive Chairman and Co-Owner of OM Pharma Ltd since July 2020, after founding Optimus Holding Ltd. Jornod has a long-standing association with Galenica, holding roles as Honorary Chairman and Executive Chairman since 1996. Additionally, Jornod serves as Honorary Chairman of Vifor Pharma Ltd and Executive Chairman of Vifor Pharma Group, also since 1996. From 2013 to April 2023, Jornod was Chairman of Neue Zürcher Zeitung AG and held the position of Chairman at Vifor Fresenius Medical Care Renal Pharma from 2012 to May 2020. Educational qualifications include participation in the Senior Executive Program at Stanford University and obtaining a lic. oec. from HEC Lausanne.
