Daniel B. Owens

Director of Planning & Engineering at Omaha Airport Authority

Daniel B. Owens has extensive work experience in the planning and engineering field. Daniel B. began their career in 1985 as a Lieutenant in the United States Coast Guard, where they served until 1993. From 1993 to 1995, Owens worked as a Resident Engineer at Carr Smith. In 1995, they joined Lamp, Rynearson & Assoc and served as Vice President for nearly 20 years until 2014. Owens then joined the Omaha Airport Authority as Assistant Director of Planning & Engineering in August 2014, leading various projects for Eppley Airfield & Millard Airport. In January 2015, they were promoted to the role of Director of Planning & Engineering at the Omaha Airport Authority, a position they currently hold.

Daniel B. Owens pursued their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Civil Engineering from the US Coast Guard Academy. Daniel B. attended this institution from 1981 to 1985. In 1987, they furthered their education by enrolling in the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Here, they obtained a Master of Science in Civil Engineering (MSCE) in 1988.
