Akeyla C. currently serves as a Senior Culture & Engagement Specialist and Senior Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Consultant at Omaha Public Power District since April 2023. Prior to this role, Akeyla worked at Union Pacific Railroad as a Corporate Investigations Analyst from January 2022 to March 2023, focusing on internal claims related to EEO and ethics violations. Akeyla’s earlier experience includes serving as the Assistant Director of Community Standards and Wellbeing and Title IX Investigator at Creighton University from June 2019 to May 2021, and as a Program Specialist at Civic Nebraska from March 2016 to March 2020. Additionally, Akeyla worked as a Lead Financial Counselor at Nebraska Spine + Pain Center between January 2016 and July 2018. Akeyla holds a Master of Public Administration from Bellevue University and a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
