Raid al Lawati

Raid Al Lawati has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning different industries and roles. Raid currently holds the position of Assistant General Manager and Head of IT & Digital at Oman Housing Bank S.A.O.C. Prior to this, they worked at ahlibank as the Deputy Head of Digital Transformation Department and also served as the Head of System Development & Application Management Section. Raid was a Senior Service Delivery Manager at Microsoft and held various positions at Bank Dhofar, including Head of Retail PMO & Customer Experience and Executive Program Manager. Raid also worked at Information Technology Authority - Oman as an Executive in Program Management. In the earlier years of their career, they worked at Bank Muscat as a Manager of IT Projects, at al habib and co llc as an IT Manager, and at Oman Air as a J2EE Systems Analyst. Raid also served as a Part-Time Lecturer at Middle East College of Information Technology and as a System Developer at Oman International Bank.

Raid Al Lawati's education history includes several degrees and certifications. In 1994, they graduated from Al Sahwa Schools with a High School diploma. Raid then attended Sultan Qaboos Universoty from 1997 to 2001, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Information Systems. In 2001, Raid pursued further education at Heriot-Watt University, completing a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Information Technology, specializing in Software Systems, in 2002.

In 2006, Raid received ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) V2 & V3 certification from GBM (Gulf Business Machines). Raid also acquired the Certified International Project Manager (CIPM) Charter Certification from AAPM ® in 2007.

Additionally, Raid holds several certifications. Raid obtained a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI, although the specific dates of this certification are not provided. Raid also earned an Associate's Certificate in Project Management from The George Washington University School of Business.

Furthermore, Raid has pursued professional development through additional certifications. In September 2021, they completed the Learning Design Thinking program through LinkedIn. Most recently, in September 2022, Raid obtained a certification in Agile at Work: Driving Productive Agile Meetings from LinkedIn.
