Michael Hamaoka currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer and Director of Technologies and Network Infrastructure at the Immersive Learning Research Network since August 2022, focusing on enhancing services through technology. With extensive experience in eLearning development at OMAX Corporation since February 2013, Michael specializes in webinar administration and video-based learning content creation. Prior to that, Michael owned Michael Hamaoka Consulting, providing tailored eLearning solutions from May 2005 to January 2013. Additional roles include consulting for SumTotal Systems and the University of Oregon, where Michael contributed to various learning management system projects. Earlier experience includes noteworthy positions, such as Director of R&D at Tab Wizard, Inc., Special Projects Consultant at click2learn.com, Senior Project Manager at Delrina, and Program Manager at Asymetrix Corporation. Michael holds a BFA in Digital Design from American InterContinental University and attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1987 to 1990.
