Abdelrahman Katkat

Abdelrahman Katkat has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles. Abdelrahman is currently working as a Machine Learning Engineer at Omdena, where they are involved in the development of a model to detect Deepfake images. Prior to this, they worked as a Mechanical Analysis Engineer at Brightskies, where they focused on developing a predictive model for battery pack temperature. Abdelrahman also has experience as a Research and Development Engineer at PRENG, where they co-founded and worked on educating children about robotics. Abdelrahman also volunteered as a Research and Development Engineer at AUMotorsports, conducting research on the effect of compressibility on intake manifold performance. Additionally, Abdelrahman volunteered at Torpedo ROV as a Mechanical Engineer, designing ROVs for underwater competitions.

Abdelrahman Katkat completed their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Alexandria University, with a duration from 2014 to 2019. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained various certifications and participated in programs to enhance their skills and knowledge.

In 2023, Abdelrahman received certifications including "Münich, Germany Chapter - Deepfakes Detection in Germany through Images" from Omdena, "Computer Vision with Python" from Udemy, "The Complete SQL Bootcamp: Go from Zero to Hero" from Udemy, "Learn to Code in Python 3: Programming beginner to advanced" from Udemy, and "Python for Data Science and Machine Learning Bootcamp" also from Udemy.

In 2022, they obtained the certificate "Global Circles round on Artificial Intelligence, Global Skills, and the Future of Work" from Soliya, "AI For Everyone" from Coursera, and "Global Circles round on 'What does the war in Ukraine mean for the world?'" from Soliya.

In 2022, they completed a course on "Machine Learning" from DeepLearning.AI and also obtained the certification "Learn Microsoft Excel from A-Z: Beginner To Expert Course" from Udemy.

In 2018, Abdelrahman received an appreciation certificate from Alexandria University and Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport. In 2017, they were awarded the "Best Manufactured Local Product" certificate from Alexandria University and also received the "BUG" certificate.

Furthermore, Abdelrahman participated in the MATE ROV COMPETITION and received a certificate of participation in 2016. Abdelrahman also obtained an IELTS certificate from the British Council in 2021.
