Abdelrahman Yasser

Abdelrahman Yasser has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and industries. In 2017, they worked as a Project Coordinator at StraightLine, where they conducted market research, managed a sales pipeline, and made cold calls to potential clients. In 2018, they joined the Egyptian Foundation for Petroleum Projects as a Site Engineer, responsible for cost estimation, supplier negotiations, and tendering for firefighting and infrastructure projects. In 2019, Abdelrahman worked at ALEXANDRIA SHIPYARD (AYS) as a Welding Engineer, focusing on setting up welding plans, establishing training cycles for welders, and selecting cost-effective welding processes. Abdelrahman also briefly worked as a Piping Engineer, overseeing the execution of piping systems for navy warships and managing a team of pipe fitters and welders. In 2020, Abdelrahman freelanced as a Data Scientist, working on projects such as botnet detection on Twitter, analyzing data for construction companies, and investigating the factors influencing patient attendance at medical appointments. In 2021, they joined Omdena as a Junior Machine Learning Engineer, where they built open-source Arabic NLP libraries and core functions to support NLP tasks. Currently, Abdelrahman is working as a Data Scientist at Yun Consultancy.

Abdelrahman Yasser attended Suez Canal University from 2013 to 2018, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Petroleum Engineering. In addition to their formal education, they have pursued various certifications and courses to enhance their skillset. Abdelrahman completed the "Expert Data Analysis Track 'Deep Learning'" from Udacity in July 2021 and the "Data Analyst Advanced Nano Degree" from Udacity in February 2021. Abdelrahman also acquired certifications in "Linear Regression With Python Project" and "Python for Everybody Specialization" from Coursera in November 2020, and certifications in "Using Databases with Python" from Coursera and "Using Python to Access Web Data" from the University of Michigan in October 2020. Abdelrahman further completed the "Data Analyst Professional Nano Degree" from Udacity in September 2020. Prior to this, Abdelrahman obtained certifications in "Python Data Structure" from the University of Michigan in August 2020, "Data Fluency: Exploring and Describing Data" and "Learning Data Analytics" from LinkedIn in July 2020, "Machine Learning" from Stanford University in July 2020, and "Python for Everybody" from the University of Michigan in July 2020. Additionally, they obtained certifications in "Asking Great Sales Questions" and "Persuasive Selling" from Lynda.com in September 2017, and an "IELTS" certification from the British Council in July 2019.
