Sudi Murindanyi

Sudi Murindanyi has a diverse work experience in the field of machine learning and artificial intelligence.

In 2022, Sudi worked as a Google DeepMind Scholar at DeepMind.

From 2020 to present, Sudi has been involved with Omdena, holding various roles such as Lead Machine Learning Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer, and Junior Machine Learning Engineer.

In 2021, Sudi worked as an AI Advisor and Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Kin-Keepers. Their role involved licensing AI/ML software to improve the lives of those living with Dementia.

Sudi also worked as a Research Assistant at Makerere University and The Marconi Society Machine Learning Laboratory, conducting machine learning research in diverse areas.

They served as the Chapter Lead for Omdena Uganda Chapter, contributing to the growth and development of the organization.

Sudi co-founded DMB Translation Services Ltd in 2020, aiming to create assistive technologies for people with disabilities.

Their early work experience includes being a Student Researcher and Machine Learning Ev. Team member at netLabs!UG, where they contributed to the development of a machine learning environment and conducted testing and debugging.

Finally, in 2019, Sudi took part in the Grand Global Challenges Summit in London, where discussions focused on the impact of artificial intelligence and entrepreneurial solutions to societal challenges.

Sudi Murindanyi completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering at Makerere University from 2016 to 2021. Afterward, Sudi pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Science at Makerere University from 2022 to 2024. In addition to their formal education, Sudi obtained several certifications, including a Data Analyst Nanodegree from Udacity in October 2022, a Data Engineer Path certification from Dataquest.io in July 2022, and a Data Scientist in Python Path certification from Dataquest.io in May 2022. Sudi also earned certifications in various other areas, such as Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Applied Data Science, Executive Data Science, Scientific Computing for Data Science, AI for Medicine, Deep Learning, Mathematics for Machine Learning, TensorFlow, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), and others. The years of obtaining these certifications range from 2018 to 2022.
