Rik Beyen has extensive work experience in the field of game development and programming. Rik most recently worked at Omeda Studios as a Senior AI software-engineer starting in November 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Hangar 13 as an AI Programmer from May 2019 to November 2021. From November 2016 to March 2019, Rik worked at Keen Games as a Gameplay/AI Programmer. Rik previously held the position of Game Programmer at Codeglue from September 2015 to September 2016.
Additionally, Rik gained experience at Philips Lighting as a C++ Programmer Intern in 2015, where they worked on a case study related to virtual prototyping and integration of software into production pipelines. Rik also made a proof of concept for user testing during their internship.
Before that, Rik worked at NHTV Breda University of Applied Sciences as a Teacher Assistant from 2014 to 2015 and as a Gameplay Programmer from August 2012 to January 2013. Rik also gained experience as a C++ Programmer Intern at Triumph Studios from February 2013 to July 2013.
Rik's early work experience includes a role as an ICT teacher assistant at Newmancollege from 2008 to 2009.
Rik Beyen completed their education at Breda University of Applied Sciences. Rik first earned a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Game Architecture and Design, specializing in International Game Architecture and Design, from 2009 to 2014. Later, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Game Technology, with a focus on programming, from 2014 to 2015.
