Jeffrey Schmidt

Director, Engineering at Omega Medical Imaging

Jeffrey Schmidt has over 30 years of experience in engineering and operations. Jeffrey began their career in 1989 as a Senior Design Engineer at Lockheed Martin, where they designed circuit cards and FPGAs, developed test boxes and test code, and completed designs for RF telemetry data links. In 1997, they moved to COMSAT, Inc as a Senior Design Engineer, where they were responsible for hardware development, FPGA design, and PWB layout. In 2000, they joined MeshNetworks as a Manager/Principle Design Engineer, Product Design, and managed all aspects of hardware development prior to its acquisition by Motorola for $211M. In 2004, they joined Motorola as a Manager, Product Design. From 2008 to 2016, they were Vice President, Engineering at Spectrum Bridge, Inc, leading the development strategy for Spectrum Management technology. In 2018, they became Director, Engineering at Omega Medical Imaging LLC, where they lead the Design and Innovation team to provide reliable and advanced Interventional imaging systems.

Jeffrey Schmidt attended the University of Central Florida from 1985 to 1989, earning a BSE in Electrical Engineering, magna cum laude. Jeffrey continued their studies at UCF from 1989 to 1992, earning an MSEE in Electrical Engineering.
