Mark Liang is a partner in O'Melveny's IP & Tech group in the firm's SF Bay Area offices. They have used their technical expertise and advocacy skills to guide major technology companies through complex patent litigation and trade secret matters, successfully litigating over seventy patent cases and participating in numerous trial teams across several jurisdictions. With a background in electrical engineering, Mark tackles technically challenging cases in fields such as telecommunications and semiconductor technologies. In addition to their legal practice, Mark regularly publishes and speaks on developments in IP and patent policy. Mark's career includes previous roles at Fish & Richardson P.C. and BlackBerry, and they earned a BASc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto and a JD from the University of Chicago Law School.
