Varun Chandra

Varun Chandra has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Varun started their career as a Demand Planning Intern at Emerson Network Power in 2013. In 2014, they worked as a Research Intern at Standard Life. In 2015, Varun joined the Ontario Financing Authority as a Research Analyst and later became a Senior Financial Engineering Analyst. In 2016, they joined OMERS and held multiple roles including Analyst and Senior Analyst. Varun also worked as a Manager in Total Portfolio Investment Risk and a Director in Investment Data Science. Currently, Varun is working as a Director in Cross Asset Strategies at OMERS Capital Markets, starting in October 2021.

Varun Chandra completed their Master of Finance (MFin) degree from the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management between 2018 and 2020. Varun obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from McGill University from 2011 to 2015, majoring in Joint Honours Economics and Finance. Additionally, Varun obtained the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification in September 2019 from the CFA Institute.
