Richard Slessor

Richard Slessor, PhD, currently serves as Acting Director for AI, Tech & Governance and Associate Director for AI, ML & Quantitative Analytics at OMERS since June 2021. Prior experience includes roles as an AI & Data Science Manager at EY, where Richard focused on delivering analytics and machine learning solutions, and as Advanced Analytics & Data Science Lead for EY’s Hong Kong office specializing in financial services. Previous positions also include developing financial risk management software at Clink I.T. Solutions, providing fixed income strategies at Lloyds Banking Group, and teaching mathematics and English at Seymour House School. Richard holds a PhD in Mathematics and a Master's degree in Mathematics from the University of Southampton.
