Laura Oaks

Laura Oaks is an experienced professional with a diverse work history. Laura began their career as a Library Technician at the University of Delaware in 1988. Laura then worked at Rainbow of Delaware, Inc. (Rainbow Records) as a General Branch Manager and later as a General Manager from 1991 to 1998. Laura then transitioned to Wilmington Trust, where they held various roles including Corporate Trust Operations Supervisor, Corporate Trust Payment Unit Manager, Corporate Trust Processing Unit Manager, Corporate Trust Admin Risk Manager, and Sr. Financial Services Officer, Business Systems Analyst. Laura worked at Wilmington Trust from 1998 to 2011. Laura went on to work at M&T Bank as a Business Analyst/Senior Business Systems Administrator from 2006 to 2013. Laura'sresponsibilities at M&T Bank included analyzing business needs, developing control/metric reports, analyzing audit reports, and serving as a liaison between IT and the business line. Laura also achieved several accomplishments, such as implementing compliance/regulatory requirements in an automated new business acceptance process and developing and implementing all LAN and applications user access profiles for capital markets and special purpose services business lines. Following their time at M&T Bank, Laura joined Citi as a Vice President, Compliance Officer from 2013 to 2015. Laura'srole at Citi involved regulatory compliance, risk assessment, and developing compliance programs. Currently, Laura works as a Vice President, Compliance Officer at OneMain Financial, a position they have held since 2015.

Laura Oaks, CRCM, MBA, completed their Masters of Business Administration from the University of Delaware in 2007. Laura also holds a BA in Philosophy and Geography from the University of Delaware. In addition to their academic degrees, Laura obtained their CRCM (Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager) certification from the Institute of Certified Bankers in 2018 and their CCTS (Certified Corporate Trust Specialist) certification in 2001.
