Bas van Meijel

Bas van Meijel has extensive experience in environmental supervision and enforcement, currently serving part-time as an industrial supervisor at Omgevingsdienst Brabant Noord since July 2016. Since April 2013, Bas has held the position of senior environmental enforcement advisor at Omgevingsdienst Regio Nijmegen, specializing in monitoring and enforcement for higher-tier companies, particularly in the waste and process industries. In addition, Bas acts as a coordinator for extraordinary enforcement officers, conducting investigations into environmental crime. Prior roles include senior inspector at Omgevingsdienst Regio Nijmegen, where expertise was developed in various environmental subjects, and inspector of soil for the Municipality of Nijmegen, focusing on remediation supervision and enforcement. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Build Environment from Hogeschool Utrecht and a middle management qualification in environmental oversight from Helicon opleidingen Boxtel.
