Teun Verstappen is a Senior Jurist at Omgevingsdienst Brabant Noord since July 2018 and serves as a Rechter-plaatsvervanger at Rechtbank Noord-Holland since October 2019. Prior experience includes practicing as an Advocate specializing in agricultural law, environmental law, and spatial planning at Hekkelman advocaten en notarissen from August 2012 to June 2018. Teun also served as a Junior Lecturer in Constitutional Law at Utrecht University and worked as a Student Assistant in (European) Constitutional Law at the Vakgroep Staats- en bestuursrecht at the same university. Additional early experience includes an internship at Pels Rijcken & Droogleever Fortuijn in 2010. Teun holds a Master's Degree in Constitutional and Administrative Law with a specialization in Environmental Law and a Bachelor's Degree in Dutch Law from Utrecht University, alongside a high school diploma focused on Economics and Society from St.-Willibrord Gymnasium Deurne.
