Margot M. has over 20 years of experience in the maritime and environmental sectors. Currently, Margot serves as a Medewerker Omgevingsrecht at Omgevingsdienst IJmond since June 2017, focusing on environmental regulations and oversight within the municipality of Velsen. Prior to this role, Margot held various positions at the Port of Amsterdam from September 2006 to June 2017, including Planner Inspecties and Bureaucoordinator Toezicht Milieu en Veiligheid, where responsibilities included managing ship admissions related to hazardous materials. Margot’s career began at Rijkswaterstaat as a Lockmaster in 2006 and includes valuable hands-on experience as a Chief Officer with Atlas Services Group and Wagenborg Shipping BV, managing operations on various vessels. Margot holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Maritime Officer from NHL Hogeschool and completed VWO at Cambreur College Dongen.
