Richard Braat

Richard Braat has extensive experience in building and housing supervision, currently serving as a toezichthouder Bouw- en Woningtoezicht with Gemeente Loon op Zand since September 2018, after transitioning from a détachement role. Prior to this, Richard worked as an inspector for building and housing oversight at Omgevingsdienst Zuid-Holland Zuid, focusing on the inspection of migrant housing and ensuring compliance with regulations. Richard's background includes significant roles at Gemeente Steenbergen, where responsibilities encompassed building inspections and delivering completed constructions, as well as oversight on spatial planning. Earlier experience includes positions with the Regionale Milieudienst RMD and gemeente Tholen, concentrating on building supervision and compliance with local regulations. Richard holds a degree in Ambtenaar Bouw- en Woningtoezicht from Bestuursacademie Nederland.
