Blaž Brenčič

Software Quality Engineer at Omicron

Blaž Brenčič has over ten years of work experience in various roles related to software quality, testing, and IT support. Blaž started their career as a Web Developer at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Economics, where they gained experience in ASP, ASP.NET, VB script, C#, design and maintenance of dynamic web pages, (X)HTML, documentation writing, testing, and working with databases. Blaž then worked as a Web Developer at Slovensko društvo informatika for a brief period. In 2011, Brenčič joined GEN-I, d.o.o. as an IT Support in the Electricity Trading Department until 2013. Blaž then moved on to inet-logistics GmbH as a Software Tester for two years. Since 2016, they have been working at OMICRON electronics as a Software Quality Engineer.

Blaž Brenčič completed their education in a chronological order as follows:

From 2001 to 2005, they attended Poljane Grammar School and graduated with a high school diploma.

Subsequently, they pursued their Bachelor's degree in Business Information Systems from 2005 to 2010 at the Faculty of Economics Ljubljana.

After successfully completing their undergraduate studies, they continued their education at the same institution and earned a Master's Degree in Business Information Systems from 2010 to 2015.

Apart from their formal education, they have obtained several additional certifications. In March 2019, they completed the "Deutsch Grammatik Aktiv 2" course offered by WIFI Vorarlberg. In March 2020, they also acquired the "Deutsch B1 Abendkurs" certification from the same institution. In November 2020, they obtained the "Dardo Time and Self-Management" certification from Dardo Consulting. Additionally, in June 2022, Blaž earned the "Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL)" certification from the Austrian Testing Board.
