Tanmay Amar has a strong background in legal and corporate advisory work. Tanmay started their career at Luthra & Luthra Law Offices in 2006, where they worked as an Associate before being promoted to Senior Associate and later Managing Associate. During their time at Luthra & Luthra, Tanmay worked on cross-border private equity transactions, strategic acquisitions, and general corporate and regulatory matters. Tanmay was responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating transaction documents, conducting due diligence, and providing general advisory services.
In 2013, Tanmay joined Sequoia Capital as a Legal Counsel. Tanmay was involved in structuring investment transactions, overseeing due diligence, and reviewing and negotiating documentation prepared by external counsel. Tanmay worked on a variety of transactions ranging from seed investments to pre-IPO placements.
Most recently, Tanmay has been working at Omidyar Network India since 2016. Tanmay initially held the position of Director - Legal and was later promoted to Vice President - Legal. In this role, Tanmay's responsibilities include providing legal counsel and expertise on various matters.
