Tomas Vocetka

CTO at Omio

Tomas Vocetka is the current Chief Technical Officer at Omio. Prior to this, they held various leadership positions at EmbedIT, Omio, Microsoft, Hewlett-Packard, Systinet, and CS Software.

Tomas has been in the software industry for over 20 years. Tomas started their career as a software engineer and quickly progressed into management roles. In 2007, they became Director of Software R&D at Hewlett-Packard. Tomas then went on to lead Systinet's largest engineering center in Europe before taking on the role of Partner Director of Engineering at Skype.

In 2017, Tomas joined Omio as Vice President of Engineering. Tomas oversaw the engineering organization and helped the company revolutionize the way people travel. In 2020, they were promoted to Chief Technical Officer. In this role, Tomas is responsible for leading Omio's technical vision and strategy.

Tomas Vocetka has a PhD in computer science from the Czech Technical University. Their research focus is on compiler theory. Tomas also has an Ing. degree in computer science from the Czech Technical University in Prague.

Tomas Vocetka reports to Naren Shaam, Founder & CEO. and Martin Cizler - VP, Engineering reports to Tomas Vocetka. They work with Julian Persaud - Chief Commercial Officer, Facundo Viguie Aleman - CMO, and Tim Claydon - Senior Advisor.
