Doug began their career at Cetus Corporation and Roche Molecular Systems, where they worked as a Scientist and focused on purifying recombinant DNA polymerases. Bost then joined Applied Biosystems as a Senior Manager and Scientist, where they played a key role in expanding the company's market leadership in PCR reagents and was also involved in molecular biology intellectual property.
In 2005, Bost moved to Atria Genetics, where they worked as a Staff Scientist. After that, they joined Quest Diagnostics and held various roles, including Director of a reagent product development group and Director of the Clinical Sample Sequencing Group. In these positions, they oversaw the development of molecular diagnostic kits for genetic and transplantation testing and provided DNA sequence analysis for clinical trial support.
Bost co-founded KimerDx, BV in 2013 and served as a Co-Founder and Director. In this role, they designed chimerism monitoring reagents and software for stem cell and solid organ transplant tests. Doug continued with KimerDx until 2016 when they co-founded JETA Molecular, BV, where they served as the Co-Founder and CEO. JETA Molecular specializes in creating innovative reagent and software tools for personalized stem cell transplant monitoring.
In 2020, Bost founded The Organ Monitoring Group BV and became its CEO. The company focuses on providing cfDNA organ monitoring kits and software for research and diagnostic applications. Recently, in 2022, Bost joined Omixon as the Vice President of Transplant Monitoring.
Throughout their career, Bost has demonstrated expertise in molecular biology, diagnostics, and the development of innovative tools for stem cell transplant monitoring.
Doug Bost attended Knox College from 1984 to 1988. However, the specific degree and field of study are unknown. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Microbiology & Immunology from the University of California, Berkeley, from 1987 to 1990.
