Humaira Taz, PhD

Humaira Taz, PhD, has a diverse range of work experience. Humaira is currently serving as the Co-Founder and Technical Lead at Omniply, where they drive the planning and execution of prototypes and builds relationships with clients and strategic partners. Prior to that, they worked as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at TandemLaunch Inc. Humaira'sprevious roles also include being a Blogger and Freelance Writer for the Materials Research Society, a Visiting PHD Student at the University of California, Berkeley, and a Graduate Research Fellow at the University of Tennessee. Humaira has also worked as a Media Relations Officer for the Forum on Science Ethics and Policy at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. Humaira'searlier experiences include serving as the Editor of Wesleyan Word and holding various roles at Wesleyan College, as well as working as an Undergraduate Intern at the Georgia Institute of Technology and as an Undergraduate Summer Intern at Yale University.

Humaira Taz, PhD pursued their education in a chronological manner, first completing their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Applied Mathematics from Wesleyan College between 2009 and 2013. Humaira then went on to obtain their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Energy Science and Engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, from 2013 to 2018.
