Tomas Kazragis

Tomas Kazragis is the VP of IT at Omnisend. Tomas has held previous positions as the Director of engineering at Flo Health Inc., Senior Manager Infrastructure at Agoda, and Member at Lietuvos IT vadovų klubas | CIO.LT. Tomas was responsible for growing and structuring an IT functional area within Adform from 4 SMEs up to 50 employees split in to 9 teams. People were distributed among 3 locations. Organisational structure within IT was formed in a way that they had 4 leaders (IT infrastructure, DevOps, Security & Corporate IT) reporting to him.

During their career at Adform, their aim always was to help Adform grow their business by becoming global and remaining profitable. They followed their customers and expanded their operations in a sustainable way by using Cloud platforms for ramp-up and then converting them in to easy scalable data centers across the world. They managed to open data centers in US, Brazil, Hong-Kong and Singapore. They managed to operate them remotely and in an automated manner. To speed up time to market, their focus was to deliver self-help tools for development, therefore they launched private cloud platform, containers management platform, object storage, database and load balancers services. Development operations were optimised by introducing configuration management and standardised deployment management workflows & tooling. A vision for upcoming 2 years was discussed, set and approved to establish monitoring platform, logging platform, expanding database as a service with new database technologies, centralising support, problem and access management by establishing Service Desk, improving security, expanding to new markets and last but not least - keeping the lights on with current IT operations.

Tomas enjoyed their years in a super fast growing company. This brought him challenges like - building billing platform development team, evaluating potential investments for growth, restructuring operations, restructuring IT costs by evaluating build vs buy solution, working with a team that manages fraud within our platform, building and adapting IT functional area roadmap based on business needs and many others.
