Steve Shimizu

Steve Shimizu is a seasoned financial executive with extensive experience in various leadership roles across prominent technology companies. Currently serving as Chief Financial Officer at Omnissa since July 2024, Shimizu was previously Vice President of Finance at VMware, focusing on Digital Workspace, Network and Security, and SASE from September 2017 to July 2024. Prior to that, Shimizu held several key positions at Cisco, including Segment CFO for the Service Provider Video Software Segment and Director in the Collaboration Technology Group. Shimizu began their career in finance at Ernst & Young, transitioning to roles at Hewlett-Packard as Finance Manager for Mergers & Acquisitions and at Cisco in various financial capacities between 2005 and 2017. Academic credentials include an Executive Finance Leadership Program from The Wharton School and an MBA from Santa Clara University Leavey School of Business.
