Prior to that, Gerard worked as a Senior Project Manager at Toltest Inc from July 2006 to June 2010, where they developed and executed strategies to capture contracts. Gerard also served as a Staff Facility and Logistics Engineer at US Northern Command from September 2004 to June 2006, and as a Base Civil Engineer in the United States Air Force from July 2003 to September 2004. In this role, they oversaw facility and infrastructure systems support on an air base and managed the largest capital investment program among 8 pacific bases.
