Aurelian Cioroiu

Aurelian Cioroiu is a Senior Project Manager in Well Engineering at OMV since 2019, with a proven track record of introducing innovative technologies, such as the first automated drilling rig in OMV's portfolio. Aurelian successfully led the development of OMV’s Drilling Cockpit, enhancing real-time operations and planning for well delivery activities globally. Prior to this role, Aurelian served as a Drilling Engineer at OMV Petrom from 2014 to 2019, where significant accomplishments included the design of a well leading to a new gas discovery and creating a sidetrack with the largest horizontal displacement at the time. Aurelian's educational background includes a Master’s degree in Well Engineering from Universitatea Petrol-Gaze din Ploiești and specialized training in Drilling Engineering Design at Montanuniversität Leoben.
