Elena Ginina

Elena Ginina, PhD, currently serves as Senior Expert in Data Science, Analytics & AI at OMV, where responsibilities include optimizing business processes in Fuels & Feedstock and Chemicals & Materials through data pipelines, ML models, and AI tools. Concurrently, Elena acts as an Expert and Vice Chair for the European Commission, evaluating proposals within Horizon Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions. Past positions include Senior Data Scientist at Raiffeisen Bank International AG, Head of Data Science at VRVis, and various research roles focusing on theoretical particle physics at institutions such as the HEPHY Institute and the University of Vienna. Elena holds a Master's degree in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics from Sofia University and a PhD from the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
