Markus Derler is an experienced professional in the field of petroleum engineering, currently serving as an Expert Production Technology at OMV since December 2018. Previously, Markus held roles as a Professional Production Engineer and completed a master thesis project focusing on organic acids for matrix stimulation applications at OMV. Prior internships included positions in drilling engineering and reservoir management at RAG Rohöl-Aufsuchungs AG and extensive experience in design and process engineering with ANDRITZ HYDRO and Magna Steyr. Markus holds a Dipl.-Ing. (MSc) and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Petroleum Engineering from Montanuniversität Leoben and has participated in an international student exchange program at the Colorado School of Mines.
