Akos Tar Ph.D

Akos Tar, Ph.D., has an extensive professional background in various roles related to technology and robotics. Akos is currently employed as the Head of Hardware at OnRobot, a role they have held since June 2018. Prior to this, they worked at OptoForce Ltd. starting in 2012, where they served as the Head of R&D. At OptoForce, they played a pivotal role in developing and expanding the company's force sensors and robotic software modules, leading to significant increases in annual revenues and a global distribution network of over 70 distributors. Akos also led the development of a new type of 6-axis force/torque sensor and was involved in spearheading larger development projects and setting up development teams. Before OptoForce, Akos served as a Lecturer at Pazmany Peter Catholic University's Faculty of Information Technology from September 2011 to January 2012, where they taught courses on robotics and electric circuits.

Akos Tar Ph.D completed their education with a Master's degree in Information Technology from Pázmány Péter Katolikus Egyetem, spanning from 2002 to 2007. Akos then pursued a Master's degree in Informatics Specialist in Bionic Computing from the same institution, which took place from 2009 to 2011. Finally, Akos Tar Ph.D earned their Ph.D in Interdisciplinary Technical Sciences from Pázmány Péter Katolikus Egyetem between 2008 and 2012.
