Erin Michael Mountain

Erin Michael Mountain has a diverse range of work experience in media operations and engineering. They began their career as a Master Control Supervisor and Chief Operator at KKPX-TV 65, where they ensured technical operations compliance with FCC regulations and scheduled and staffed operators. Erin also worked as a Production Supervisor at the same company, where they handled non-linear editing, post-production, audio mixing, graphics creation, and camera work.

Following this, Erin became a Technical Support Engineer at Omneon, Inc., responsible for operating and maintaining the support lab and providing end-user support on the configuration, use, and troubleshooting of Omneon's systems. They later joined KPXN-TV 30/KNBC as a Promos Editor and Master Control Operator, where they performed non-linear editing, post-production, audio mixing, and graphics work, as well as equipment maintenance.

Erin's experience then expanded into managerial roles. They became a Manager of Master Control Operations at Current TV, launching and managing the 24/7 master control, ingest, and network operations center for Current TV channels. Erin also served as a Manager of Broadcast Operations at the same company, overseeing media delivery, media management, programming processing, and other daily tasks.

Subsequently, Erin joined Al Jazeera America as a Manager of Media Operations. Here, they assisted in the development and launch of broadcast operations infrastructure and procedures for the new Al Jazeera America channel, particularly focusing on building out the Master Control and Presentation Center.

Currently, Erin holds the position of Senior Manager of Signal Operations/Engineering at ON24. They are responsible for the day-to-day operations, engineering, and scheduling of ON24's Signal Operations Center, which supports the acquisition and delivery of web streaming productions. Additionally, Erin manages configurations and relationships with multiple CDNs and telcos.

Erin Michael Mountain attended San Jose State University from 1988 to 1994, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree. During their time at the university, Erin majored in Radio/Television/Film and minored in Advertising.
