Macharia Muguku is a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with extensive experience in data engineering and software development. Currently part of the Analytics team at Ona since March 2021, Macharia has been responsible for end-to-end data engineering, utilizing a range of technologies such as Airbyte, Apache Spark, and BigQuery to build and monitor scalable data systems. Previous positions include leading roles at Cubic Media Systems and Logistics Limited, Rama Homes Ltd, and Kakbima, where Macharia contributed to platform development and integration in various domains, including digital health and insurance services. With a foundational background in IT support and system maintenance at organizations like Safaricom PLC and Nairobi City County, Macharia holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Computer Science from Chuka University.
