Luke Kyohere

Luke Kyohere has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Luke is currently the Chief Innovation Officer at Onafriq, a position they have held since September 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Product Officer at Onafriq from July 2020 to September 2023. Luke is also a Board Member at EzyAgric since December 2020.

Luke's entrepreneurial journey includes founding and serving as the Executive Chairman of Beyonic Inc, a venture-backed payments technology company. Luke held this position from April 2019 to July 2020. Before that, they were the Founder and CEO of Beyonic from January 2011 to March 2019. Luke's role at Beyonic involved revolutionizing the payments landscape in frontier markets and expanding access to financial services.

Luke also has experience with Techstars, where they were an Alumni from 2016 to July 2020. Luke has a background in technology and served as the Technology Manager, Global m-Ag Extension at Grameen Foundation from July 2013 to March 2015. Additionally, Luke worked as a Startups Consultant & Associate at Austin Technology Incubator from 2012 to 2013 and as a Senior Technology Manager at Grameen Foundation from March 2010 to March 2012.

Luke began their career as a Technology Director at BeMobile from January 2009 to March 2010 and as the Managing Director at Beyonic from 2000 to 2010. Luke worked as a Senior Software Developer at MyC4, Denmark from June 2007 to April 2008.

Luke Kyohere completed their MSc. Technology Commercialization degree in Business from the Texas McCombs School of Business in 2012. Prior to that, they obtained a BSc. Hons degree in Electrical Engineering from Makerere University.
