Mark English

Mark English has a diverse work experience in the field of DevOps and infrastructure management. Mark is currently working at OnBuy as the Head of DevOps since 2023 and previously worked as a DevOps Engineer from 2021 to 2023. Prior to OnBuy, Mark served as a Senior DevOps Engineer at the Care Quality Commission from 2020 to 2021. Mark also worked at Rocket X as an Infrastructure Engineer from 2018 to 2020, where they were responsible for managing office and cloud infrastructure using various technologies such as Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Terraform, Ansible, and more. Before Rocket X, Mark held the position of Infrastructure Administrator at Newcastle University from 2015 to 2018. Their early career includes roles as a Technical Lead and Technical Specialist at Durham University, where they gained expertise in technologies like VMware, Infoblox, Netapp filers, Microsoft Server, Office365, and more.

Mark English completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Information Systems from Newcastle University, from the years 2000 to 2004. Mark also obtained certifications from Microsoft (MCSA 2003 and MCSE 2003) and CompTIA (Network+ and A+), in the years 2005 to 2010.
