Daniil Golod has worked for a variety of companies since 2004. In 2004, they were an Engineering Intern at Google Inc, where they developed a testing automation platform in C++ and researched Internet security tools and general ways for breaking websites. In 2005, they were an Engineering Intern at Google, where they worked in the Research department on Automated Machine translation and implemented an experimental approach to dynamic dictionary processing. From 2007 to 2009, they were a Graduate Student at the University of Waterloo, where they investigated finding and usefulness N-best Viterbi path through HMMs as applied to transmembrane protein topology prediction and studied general properties of HMMs, with emphasis on labellings. From 2009 to 2011, they were a Software Developer at MKS. From 2011 to 2019, they were a Sr. Software Developer at SAP. Currently, they are a Sr. Software Engineer at Onc.AI.

Daniil Golod earned a Bachelor of Mathematics in Bioinformatics from the University of Waterloo in 2007, after studying there from 2002-2007. Daniil then went on to earn a Masters in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo in 2009.
